Entering Grasso’s Garage this week is a masterpiece of engineering. The 2026 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 Pro Coupe thrills drivers and riders alike with its power, while onlookers get their phones out to take video.

Powered by a handcrafted Mercedes 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine producing 603 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque, the Pro layout delivers an extra 26 horsepower over the standard model, going from 0 to 60 mph in an impressive 3.1 seconds. Power is sent through a nine-speed multi-clutch automatic transmission, which is smooth as can be.

On the inside, Mercedes creates a true cockpit-like environment. AMG performance bucket seats in Sage Gray Leather were really appealing but still comfortable for everyday use. We tested all of the AMG drive modes on our week-long tester. Comfort mode behaves like an approachable daily driver, but in race mode, sit down, hang on and let the rear-biased setup take over on demand.

Aesthetically, the massive A-shaped Pan Americana grille has enlarged air ducts, routing air to heavy-duty water-cooled radiators and massive 16.5-inch carbon-ceramic brakes. The upgraded AMG 21-inch split spoke gold wheels and the Moonlight White Magno paint make this build really, really appealing.

For buyers considering the Porsche 911 Turbo, the GT 63 Pro Coupe is an enticing alternative. Specifically designed to bridge the gap between track-day and high-performance cruising, this monster delivers a raw, unadulterated performance experience. The curves and exterior details are superlative, matched by the endless power and interior style.

Keeping up with the 911 is no easy task, but the AMG GT 63 Pro does a damn good job, and one that will keep consumers hammering the throttle for years to come.
