ANAHEIM, Calif. — A rider stuck on a stalled Disneyland Monorail climbed on the roof of the train before firefighters arrived to evacuate the ride that had been stalled on the track for more than an hour, according to social media posts.

About 60 people were evacuated by ladder from the Disneyland Monorail Thursday evening after a technical issue caused two trains to lose power, according to police and Disneyland officials.

The monorail trains stalled around 3:30 p.m., KTLA reported.

A Disneyland Monorail rider climbed out of an emergency hatch and sat on the roof of Monorail Blue before firefighters arrived, according to a video posted by Jess on TikTok.

An Anaheim hook and ladder truck responded just before 5 p.m. to evacuate riders, KTLA reported. All riders were evacuated by 7 p.m., according to KTLA.

Riders stranded on the monorails received snacks, drinks, Lightning Lane passes and vouchers for food and merchandise, according to Aracely on TikTok.

No injuries were reported after passengers were evacuated from the stalled trains, according to Sgt. Matt Sutter with Anaheim Police.

The Disneyland Resort worked with assistance from the Anaheim Fire Department to conduct an evacuation of the guests, according to Disneyland officials.
