Paul Feig has ideas for third Simple Favor

Paul Feig "definitely" has an idea for another 'A Simple Favor' movie.
The 62-year-old filmmaker has recently released the second movie in the franchise, 'Another Simple Favor' and admitted he "would love" to bring Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively back for a third time as mommy vlogger Stephanie and conwoman Emily respectively.
He told People magazine: "I definitely know where I want it to go.
"We'll see if everybody wants to do a third one. It was too much fun -- I would love to get back together with this group and these characters and send them on an even weirder, international adventure, if possible."
The 2018 movie was set in Connecticut and the sequel is based on the island of Capri, and Paul has plans to take the cast even further afield.
He said: "I think we need to take them out into the world even more."
Earlier this month, the filmmaker admitted it was an unusual step for him to make 'Another Simple Favor' because he generally doesn't "do" sequels.
Noting he had resisted calls for a second 'Bridesmaids' movie, he told Deadline: "I don't do sequels. Sequels are hard … Audiences, I think, got burned by a lot of sequels. And so the big question for an audience is always, 'Why do I need to see this?' And so you've really got to be able to answer that question.
"This one just felt like, 'Oh, there is a way into this.' Everybody was like, 'How are you going to get her out of prison?' I'm like, 'Come on - Marvel brings people back from the dead. We can get somebody out of prison!"
Yet despite his comments, Paul has also admitted he is open to a 'Spy' sequel.
He told HeyUGuys: "I mean, if there was ever going to be another movie that'll have a sequel, it'll probably be 'Spy'.
"So, you know, never say never."
'Another Simple Favor' cast member Henry Golding reminded Paul that the "conscientious is that 'Spy' has to be remade', to which he replied: "I think it must - it seems to be, yeah, exactly."
After interviewer Freda Cooper said that a sequel can only be made on "one condition" - that Jason Statham will reprise his role as agent Rick Ford - Paul said: "There's no 'Spy' without Jason Statham, and I love him to death.
"He's the greatest."
