President Donald Trump-supporting podcasters Joe Rogan, Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens may soon add “Golden Globe nominees” to their list of accomplishments next year.

The streaming talk shows hosted by the controversial media influencers have been longlisted among the 25 programs that are eligible for the Globes’ inaugural best podcast award.

The list — determined by analytics data from platforms such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube — reflects the “incredible depth, diversity and creativity thriving in the podcasting world,” according to the organization, which typically celebrates achievements in film and TV.

“Podcasts have emerged as a profound medium for sharing narratives and building communities across global borders and generations,” said Golden Globes President Helen Hoehne when announcing the new award in May. “By celebrating achievements in both audio and visual podcasts, we aim to honor our heritage categories while making room for new voices and formats to be heard.”

In addition to “The Joe Rogan Experience,” “The Tucker Carlson Show” and “Candace,” the list of contenders, released on Thursday, also includes podcasts such as “Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard,” “Call Her Daddy,” “Dateline NBC,” “Good Hang with Amy Poehler,” “Pod Save America,” “The Ben Shapiro Show,” “The Megyn Kelly Show” and “This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von.”

“From groundbreaking investigative series to deeply personal storytelling and innovative audio formats, this list showcases the power of podcasting to inform, entertain, and inspire audiences around the globe,” Hoehne said.

The 25 podcasts will be whittled down to a total of six final nominations for the new category. The winner will be announced on Jan. 11, 2026, during the ceremony hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser. The 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+.
