Nicole Kidman appeared to hint at her divorce from Keith Urban weeks before the news was officially announced.

In the cover interview with Vogue for its November issue, the “Babygirl” actress nodded to changes in her life with a cryptic comment.

When asked how she feels in her 50s, Kidman replied, “How many times do you have to be taught that you think you know where your life is going and then it isn’t going in that direction?”

While the interview took place weeks before the split was confirmed, Kidman alluded to big changes throughout the conversation.

Vogue editor Wendell Steavenson, who conducted the interview, said she got a sense something was amiss between Kidman and the country musician.

“During our conversations I had guessed as much, but I didn’t want to pry,” Steavenson wrote. “When I asked about how she felt now, in her 50s, I had expected to hear a nice trite response about the sagacity of age.”

“Instead Kidman was wry, rueful, unsure of herself.”

The cover story comes after the actress filed for a divorce from Urban after 19 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.

Urban has yet to comment publicly on the news and is currently on his “High and Alive World Tour.”

As for how Kidman copes with life’s hardships, she said, “I put it in my work. That’s the beauty of what I do. There’s a place for some of this to explode, implode, process, discover.”
