SPRINGSTEEN: DELIVER ME FROM NOWHERE

Rated PG-13 for thematic material, some sexuality, strong language and smoking.

What it’s about: A focused look at the writing of Bruce Springsteen's iconic 1982 album, "Nebraska."

The kid attractor factor: This is an adult drama that deals with mature themes, not really much appeal for kids.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Receive the help when you need it. Some creative endeavors are harrowing experiences into the darkest part of the soul.

Violence: Some discussion of real life murders and movie violence.

Language: Some swearing and strong language

Sex: A sex scene but no nudity.

Drugs: Smoking and drinking.

Parents’ advisory: While it appeals more to adults and older audiences, it's fine for teens and older kids (if interested).

BUGONIA

Rated R for bloody violent content including a suicide, grisly images and language.

What it’s about: A conspiracy-obsessed loner kidnaps a CEO of a biomedical company because he believes she's an alien.

The kid attractor factor: Not much -- this is more of an intense, weird, freakout drama about the end of the world.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Conspiracy theories can be the result of intense trauma.

Violence: Some extreme bloody violence, grisly images, wrestling, fighting, shooting, explosions, etc.

Language: Swearing

Sex: None

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: Too intense for kids, probably fine for teens.
