KISS stars Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons are releasing their debut single as Stanley Simmons.

Evan Stanley, 31, and Nick Simmons, 36, will drop the track Body Down on December 5, following in their famous father's footsteps by forming a band together.

The duo announced on Instagram: "It's time. Our debut single Body Down is out December 5.

"A year ago Stanley Simmons wasn't even the beginning of a thought in either of our heads. Now it's pretty much all of them. We're incredibly proud of the record we're making and very stoked to share it with you all.

"Thank you all for taking the ride with us and thank you Rob, Kim, Joey, Jacob, Ally, Bryce, Pete, Vinnie, Harry, Kyle, Kuya, Shey, Harrison, Mister, Kate, Connor, Elena, Lindsey, and Erich for helping make this song and video come to life."

Earlier this year, Evan revealed they ended up with 10 tracks, hinting that an album is in the works.

He teased on social media: "One song turned into 10 real quick."

Proud dad Paul previously posted a clip of the pair covering Simon and Garfunkel's The Sound of Silence last year.

It's not the pair's first foray into music.

Evan is the frontman of Amber Wild, who opened for his dad's band on their final tour.

Nick, meanwhile, is one half of the electronic duo Sym Fera.

KISS kicked off their farewell End of the Road World Tour in January 2019, spanning 250 shows across five continents.

The run concluded with two final nights at Madison Square Garden in New York City, their hometown, on December 1 and 2, 2023.

At the final show, the I Was Made For Loving You hitmakers announced they would continue as digital avatars.
