NEW YORK — Fashion designer Pam Hogg — whose clothes were worn by stars from Princess Diana and Kate Moss, to Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift — has died in London following an undisclosed illness.

The death of the Scottish cult favorite, who would not reveal her precise age but was believed to be in the 60s, was announced by Hogg’s family on Wednesday.

“The Hogg Family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Pamela,” read a statement released on her Instagram account. “We are grateful in the knowledge that her final hours were peaceful and surrounded by the loving care of cherished friends and family.”

The family thanked the staff of a hospice care center in East London’s Hackney “for the beautiful support they provided for Pamela in her final days.”

Hogg was remembered for her “creative spirit and body of work, [which] touched the lives of many people of all ages.” Her family said they find in knowing she “leaves a magnificent legacy that will continue to inspire, bring joy and challenge us to live beyond the confines of convention.”

“Pamela will continue to live in our hearts and minds. A glorious life lived and loved,” her family concluded.

Hogg, whose catsuits The Guardian once dubbed as “symbolic of female strength,” got her start in fashion in the 1980s. Following a 1990s detour in the music industry, during which she founded the band Doll and opened for The Raincoats, she returned to form in the 2000s.

By the 2010s, she’d scored a first in her career when she was commissioned to design the costumes for a production of “Cyrano de Bergerac” by the National Theatre of Scotland, the Citizens Theatre and the Lyceum. In 2015, The Scotsman crowned Hogg “one of Scotland’s Icons of Style.”

Hogg’s fashion has also been worn by friend Debbie Harry — who Doll supported — as well as Kylie Minogue, Kelly Rowland, Lily Allen and Björk, along with supermodels Naomi Campbell, Grace Jones and Claudia Schiffer.
