Kylie Jenner is refusing to "live for whatever everyone else wants" her to do.
The 28-year-old reality star has revealed she is "protective" over her personal life because she would rather focus on "what's best" for her instead of worrying about what other people think.
In this week's episode of The Kardashians, she reflected on growing up in the public eye, and said: "I have to live my life.
"I can't live for whatever everyone else wants me to do. I just have to try and do what's best for me every day."
The makeup mogul - who largely keeps her relationship with Hollywood star Timothee Chalamet out of the spotlight - acknowledged that her fame has given her a lot in life.
She added: "I know that fame has absolutely shaped me from experiencing these things since I was nine.
"But I guess I also wouldn't know who I would be today without growing up like this. I'm just navigating through life."
Kylie has been through lots of ups and downs in her personal life, but last month she insisted she's now doing better than ever.
During an appearance on sister Khloe Kardashian's Khloe in Wonderland podcast, Kylie shared: "All the stars are aligning."
The brunette beauty - who has Stormi, seven, and Aire, three, with ex-boyfriend Travis Scott - feels she's really matured in recent years. Kylie also claimed that she's now surrounding herself with the "right people".
Asked what led her to feel so happy, Kylie replied: "I mean, there's a lot. It's also just growing up, I think. Finding yourself, surrounding yourself with the right people, everything."
She has been dating Timothee for two years, and they're both making the effort to keep their romance alive, in spite of their career demands.
A source told Us Weekly: "They are very much together and don't need to be in person together every day for it to work.
"They adore each other and really make it work even with two busy schedules and sometimes not even being in the same time zone."
