Yungblud was joined on stage by a tearful Sharon Osbourne as he won the Best Rock Performance gong at the Grammy Awards.

The 28-year-old musician was honoured at the non-televised premiere ceremony on Sunday (01.02.26) for his cover of Sharon's late husband Ozzy Osbourne's track Changes at Black Sabbath's farewell concert at Villa Park last July - just weeks before the rock icon passed away - and paid tribute to the legend in his acceptance speech.

Yungblud said: "To grow up loving an idol, who helps you figure out your identity, not only as a musician, but also a man, is something I'm really grateful for.

"But to then get to know them and honour them at their final show and receive this (his award) is something that I am struggling to comprehend, we f****** love you Ozzy."

As an emotional Sharon watched on, the Zombie artist continued: "The last time I saw Ozzy Osbourne, you asked me if there was anything you could do for me. I answered the music was enough. And I can safely say on behalf of all of us, that still stands now and it will do forever. You'll be with me every time I'm nervous, and on stage at every show.

"God bless rock music, and god bless f****** Ozzy Osbourne!"

The accolade is Yungblud's first-ever Grammy win but he previously recalled that he had little memory of his performance because of how intense it was.

He told The Hollywood Reporter in December: "It was the first time I've ever sung a piece of music to one person. I went into this weird, transformative state. I can't remember it."

Despite this, Yungblud considers the performance to be the moment that the world started judging him differently as an artist.

The star - whose real name is Dominic Harrison - explained: "That was probably the moment - I think it was bubbling - but I think the world started paying attention after that.

"I watched that back, and I don't know what the f*** came over me there."

Yungblud's was the only live performance to be nominated in the category this year and he thinks it is fitting that his love for Ozzy was recognised.

He said: "It's so amazing that it got nominated for rock performance as actually the only live performance in the category.

"I think it's cool that something got critically acclaimed for me just telling the guy who got me into music and started everything for me that I love him."
