NEW YORK — “Rocky Horror Picture Show” star Tim Curry died from coronary artery disease is his Los Angeles home last week.

A history of stroke and kidney cancer are also listed as significant conditions that contributed to the 80-year-old actor’s demise, according to Los Angeles County Department of Public Health records obtained by People.

Those factors are not blamed for Curry’s underlying cause of death.

Curry suffered a serious stroke in 2012 that left him wheelchair bound. He told the Hollywood Observer that he was also rendered unable to speak at the time, but regained his verbal skills through therapy.

Curry starred as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the 1975 cult classic that made him a star. He also brought that “Rocky Horror Show” character to the stage on Broadway and in London.

Movie fans also know the English performer from the 1985 film “Clue,” 1992’s “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” and “Muppet Treasure Island,” which hit theaters in 1996.

He was mourned by friends and colleagues including Carol Burnett, Kiefer Sutherland and Michael McKean on social media.

“The grim physical state he found himself in has now ended, a blessing,” wrote McKean.

He recalled his last conversation with his “Clue” co-star being about life and laughter.

Curry left behind no children, though his website states that he “almost married once.”

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health hasn’t responded to a request for comment.
