FORT WORTH, Texas — At least one friendly face from “Tulsa King” will appear on “Frisco King.”

The Taylor Sheridan-created and Samuel L. Jackson-led series premieres Dec. 18 on Paramount+. The eight-episode show, filmed all over North Texas, including in Dallas, Keller, Denton, Southlake, Fort Worth and, of course, Frisco.

“Frisco King” sees Jackson reprise his role as former hit man Russell Lee Washington Jr., who first appeared as an adversary turned friend to Sylvester Stallone’s Dwight Manfredi in “Tulsa King” Season 3.

Stallone’s involvement in “Frisco King” has been previously announced, but recently the 80-year-old actor confirmed just how big his screen time is in the spinoff.

Here’s what to know.

Sylvester Stallone talks ‘Frisco King’

Speaking to Collider for “Tulsa King,” Stallone shared how many episodes of “Frisco King” he’s in.

“I am in two and a half episodes,” Stallone.

It’s unknown what specific episodes Stallone appears in, but he’ll be there for a quarter of the show’s run.

He also discussed what it was like working with Jackson on the series. The two acting heavyweights had never worked together until these two shows.

“You know, Sam, it’s kind of like two racers in identical cars going at the same speed. You don’t feel you’re superior, or you’re working with a neophyte, or someone who’s green,” Stallone said. “You got a guy here that’s had 50 years’ experience, so it’s kind of like Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier. You better be on your game, or you’re gonna get punched out.”

More on ‘Frisco King’

While “Frisco King” has settled into the North Texas suburb, the show was originally supposed to be set and filmed in New Orleans under the title “NOLA King.”

Somewhere down the line, Sheridan relocated and retitled the show. He wrote all eight episodes of the show himself and brought on Christina Alexandra Voros and Michael Friedman to split directing duties.

In addition to Jackson and Stallone, “Frisco King” stars Asa Germann, Kai Caster, Lilah Pate and Savanna Gann.
