Libra's Lunar Opposition to Neptune

Holiday Mathis on

The Tears for Fears song suggests, "Everybody wants to rule the world," though the mess is bigger than one person could clean up. How does your corner look? Since this existence is built out of small, human-scale moments, micro decency just might count toward macro justice. What if world peace strongly correlates to how you treat the person pouring your coffee?

ARIES (March 21-April 19). The gold of working together might not be the work itself. It's the group dynamic. When you hit that moment where people are supporting one another and encouraging the best from each other, it's magic -- something to protect and cherish.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). When you open up to someone you trust, it feels as cozy as a sweater. The other person will really listen. You'll get the empathy that connects and be wrapped in the warmth of closeness.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You have plenty to do and not very much time to do it. Seems hard, but forget about the clock or the calendar. This is about fully living out the moment, committing deeply to now. When you do that, the time frame will take care of itself.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Start alone. This is how you'll know your own vision. Everything else is a compromise. Discussion will be useless. Words can twist, flip, shroud and cloud. If you can't build the whole thing alone, just build the model.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You spotlight others. You know how best to do this because that light has so often held you. Being fully present in conversation makes the other person feel seen. The attention you give returns to you, like applause echoing from the walls.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You don't have to climb all at once. One step is still progress. Persistence is in your nature. Know that time will be your ally. Daily effort will carry you higher than bursts of heroism, and you won't burn out!

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You don't set out to be original; you just can't help it. No one is you. No one thinks like you or moves like you or loves like you. And because of this, you'll be part of a truly singular experience today.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Grand gestures take planning. It's knowing that a lot went into them that makes them so special. You'll begin the process of putting together a future incredible experience that will happen months down the line.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Your intensity is a gift, though today you may need to aim it gently. Focus on one meaningful exchange instead of scattering your fire. The depth you bring will transform the moment.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Before you have proof that you can actually succeed, you'll have the bravery to step into the unknown. And yes, blips, mistakes, embarrassment, cringe -- it all comes with the territory. But these things only have the weight you give them. Head up, keep going.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). It's like you're asking the universe for a favor, and it can't resist your smiling eyes. The auspicious circumstances ahead are based on the charm, levity, interesting conversation and fun you bring to today.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). From your inner circle, you expect kindness and loyalty. Anything less is a betrayal of the unspoken contract of your closeness, which is why loved ones are the hardest to forgive. But you'll never be freer than when you're free of resentment.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Oct. 18). Welcome to your Year of Brilliant Connections. You attract the people who make life lighter, funnier and more meaningful. More highlights: a glamorous moment in the spotlight, a career pivot that excites you, investments in your skills and vision pay off in practical ways but also ways that serve your ego, i.e., you make that certain person so super jealous -- delicious! Taurus and Leo adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 7, 21, 48, 42 and 32.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: In a recent episode of "The Studio," Zac Efron throws a secret wrap party for the cast and crew of a movie whose party got cut for budgetary reasons -- which sounds like something that would happen in real life. Libras care deeply about doing the right thing to buoy relationships and keep the good will flowing for all. Efron's Libran charm carried him from teen idol status to more daring roles in films like "The Greatest Showman" and the Netflix docuseries "Down to Earth," exploring sustainability and wellness -- a sign of Libra's search for harmony between people and planet.
