PHILADELPHIA — Tell us what you really think, Jared.

Los Angeles Rams rookie edge rusher Jared Verse doesn’t love Eagles fans, and he wasn’t afraid to say it loud and repeatedly in an interview with the Los Angeles Times reporter Gary Klein on Thursday.

“I hate Eagles fans,” Verse repeatedly told the L.A. Times. “They’re so annoying.”

Verse said a few Eagles fans got under his skin during the Rams' loss to the Birds in November. Some were so loud he could hear their insults through his headphones.

Verse was born in Dayton, Ohio, but grew up in Berwick, Pa., which is about 30 miles south of Wilkes-Barre. So he was familiar with the Eagles before being drafted by the Rams out of Florida State in the first round of the 2024 draft.

“When I see that green and white, I hate it,” Verse said. “I actually get upset. Like, I actually genuinely get hot.”

Verse was the only Rams player selected to this year’s Pro Bowl, and part of what makes him a special player was on display during Los Angeles’ loss to the Eagles in Week 12 when he ran over 6-foot-8, 365-pound offensive lineman Jordan Mailata, one of the largest players in the league.

“I remember when I got flat-backed, that’s what I remember,” Mailata told reporters Thursday. “The guy plays with a high motor. I think he plays well, he plays hard. He’s got some great moves. … To be fair, I got a couple on him, too.”
