Rapper T-Hood shot in back during fatal domestic dispute, autopsy finds

Up-and-coming Atlanta rapper T-Hood suffered gunshot wounds to several parts of his body, including at least one to the back, when he was killed earlier this month in a domestic dispute.
On Aug. 8, the 33-year-old hip-hop artist, real name Tevin Hood, was also shot in the abdomen, buttocks, and both thighs, according to the Gwinnett County Medical Examiner’s report viewed by TMZ.
Gwinnett County Police detained Ky Frost, whose sister Kelsie was dating Hood, and identified him as the prime suspect, but so far has not been charged. Ky and Kelsie’s parents are “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” stars Kirk and Rasheeda Frost.
The autopsy did not stipulate who is believed to have killed Hood, but seemed to corroborate authorities’ belief that he was killed in self-defense by one of two people in the home at the time. The theory is still under investigation.
Kelsie filed a police report back in March, after T-Hood allegedly took her Mercedes-Benz and laptop during an argument, per TMZ.
Surveillance video published last week by TMZ shows Kelsie lying on a bed and playing on her phone when Hood pivots from pacing to jumping on her and trying to choke her. Sources told the outlet the incident was not isolated and occurred earlier in the year.
TMZ also published photos of Kelsie with apparent cuts and bruises on her face from last November, following another alleged attack by Hood.
Known for songs like “War Ready” and “Foreva,” Hood was somewhat of a local celebrity at the time of his death. The night he was killed, Hood was reportedly scheduled to appear at Atlanta’s Tree Sound Studios.
