Ken Burns Tries “Yucky” Revolutionary War-Era Food | PBS SoCal

Earlier this year, Bennett Rea from ‪@cookinwithcongress‬ sat down with ‪@kenburnspbs‬ to talk about the Revolutionary War. And what better entry point into a historical conversation than sampling food of the time. From George Washington’s favorite food (Onions Brazilian Style) to a cornmeal treat his wife favored for its cost-efficient ingredient list, the two had some fun culinary entry points into a discussion of what was going on at the time.
