Chiefs will play Broncos on Christmas Day

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs have had their hand up for Christmas Day games, and they’re being called upon once again.
The Chiefs will meet their AFC West rivals, the Denver Broncos, on Dec. 25 at home. The game will be broadcast on Prime Video, the streaming service announced.
This will mark a third straight year the Chiefs have played on Christmas, but the first one at night. The game will have a 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff time.
The last time the Chiefs played a Christmas evening game was 2016 when they defeated the Broncos at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
Dec. 25 falls on a Thursday this year. The game came on a Wednesday in 2024.
Chiefs president Mark Donovan told The Kansas City Star last November that he’d like to see Kansas City become a Christmas regular on the NFL schedule.
“Over the next few years, we can be to Christmas what Dallas and Detroit are to Thanksgiving,” Donovan said.
Other games on the Chiefs 2025 schedule will be revealed over the next two days. It’s expected the Chiefs will open the season against the Los Angeles Chargers in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Sept. 4, a Friday.
