Dolphins' Tyreek Hill denies wife's physical abuse allegations, court records show

MIAMI — Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill denied physically abusing his wife on eight occasions, which she detailed in a divorce filing, according to court records reviewed by the Miami Herald on Wednesday.
Attorneys for Hill on Monday filed a brief response to Lakeeta Vaccaro’s amended divorce petition, in which Vaccaro accused Hill of shoving her on the floor, ripping her hair out and trying to punch her stomach while she was pregnant with their daughter.
Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge Spencer Multack unsealed Vaccaro’s amended divorce petition Tuesday after several media companies, including the Miami Herald, requested the records be released. The 23-page petition was filed on Sept. 4 and outlined eight alleged domestic violence incidents between the couple during their nearly two-year marriage.
Hill’s attorney Michael Gottlieb slammed the allegations as “vexatious and patently false” and said there was no corroborating evidence to back the claims up.
“These allegations have not been reported to law enforcement nor been investigated,” Gottlieb told the Miami Herald. “We adamantly deny them and are confident that Mr. Hill [will] be cleared ... in court.”
Seeking shared custody of daughter
In response to Vaccaro’s petition, Hill said he’s “seeking an unequal distribution of marital assets in his favor” and that time-sharing of the couple’s infant daughter would not be detrimental to the child.
Hill also disputed that he and Vaccaro separated on April 7, the day police were called to the couple’s luxury Sunny Isles Beach condo over a domestic dispute. Vaccaro alleges that Hill told her to “get the f--- out of my house” before grabbing their infant daughter and pushing Vaccaro’s mother to the floor, according to her amended divorce petition. Hill then took the baby to the balcony of the condo, which is on the 35th floor, and threatened to leave.
Vaccaro’s mother told Sunny Isles Beach police officers that Hill was “very aggressive and impulsive and that he has anger issues and she is afraid for her daughter...,” according to a police report. Hill told officers that he had “the same rights as a father as her as a mother, and I can take my baby whenever I want.” Officers didn’t make an arrest.
In the filing, Hill admitted that during the incident, he said, “Let me get my daughter and get the f--- out of here. ... I’m going to get my daughter now and get the f--- out.”
Vaccaro filed for divorce on April 8, the day after the incident, court records show.
Hill will miss the remainder of the season after sustaining a dislocated knee and a torn ACL in the team’s Sept. 29 win against the New York Jets. It’s not yet known if he will be ready for the start of the 2026 season.
Hill is under contract to the Dolphins for next season, but his $29.9 million salary is not guaranteed, and he’s unlikely to return with that salary. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has said that Hill would like to return at a salary that is acceptable to both the player and the team.
