Nicholas Hoult's wife has responded to criticism of her appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

The 36-year-old actor's partner Bryana Holly, 32, addressed comments about her outfit in a post on social media after the pair attended the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, which saw her wear a black sequined gown by Lurelly featuring a plunging neckline.

Following the event, Bryana shared a message on Instagram Stories after receiving comments about her body, saying: "I am seeing the comments around my chest.

"This is the product of a breastfeeding mother who hasn't fed her babies in hours ok! If you know then you know.

"You are not owed an explanation."

Bryana and Nicholas, who have been together since 2017, have a son, Joaquin, eight, and a younger child, four, born in late 2022.

The couple have largely kept their family life private, with Nicholas previously referring to Bryana as his "wife" during an interview in November 2024.

Nicholas, known for roles including Skins, has spoken previously about his experience of parenthood.

In an interview with the Evening Standard, Nicholas said: "The levels of tiredness are extreme."

He added: "No one warns you about it! But the level of love that comes with it outweighs everything. It's phenomenal. I'm loving it.

"And it evolves all the time.

"(Children) change so much, every day is different. It fills you up as a human completely."

Nicholas began his acting career as a child and gained early recognition for his role in About a Boy, in which he starred alongside Hugh Grant.

He later rose to wider prominence with his portrayal of Tony Stonem in the television drama Skins, a role that established him as a leading young British actor.

Nicholas went on to build a varied career across both independent and blockbuster films.

He is widely known for playing Hank McCoy, also known as Beast, in the X-Men film series, and for his performance in Mad Max: Fury Road.

Nicholas has also appeared in films such as The Favourite, Warm Bodies and The Menu, demonstrating range across genres including historical drama, action and dark comedy.

Alongside his film work, Nicholas has continued to take on television roles, including leading parts in series such as The Great.

Across his career, he has worked with a range of directors and co-stars, maintaining a consistent presence in both British and international productions.
